Perfect Patterns!

We have shifted our focus from Data Management to Patterning in our Mathematics program.  The Educators asked the children "What is a Pattern?"  We had a variety of answers!  We finally came up with the answer "it's something that's the same that we see over and over".  When asked if we have to see a pattern, the students all answered yes!  So, after having them listen to a clap/snap pattern, they have now learned that we can see and hear patterns!  We had a Pattern Day when we dressed up in clothes that had a pattern.  We discussed the difference between a pattern and a design.
