Terry Fox

We learned about Terry Fox, and what a remarkable human being he was. Without getting into too much detail, the students learned that he was a good man who was ill and lost his leg.  He tried to walk across the country to raise money to help the doctors and the scientists find a cure for cancer.
We completed a drawing and writing activity, following our conversation.  The students drew a picture of themselves running with Terry, and composed a sentence describing something they learned about Terry.
